Nice place, good food and staff... glad we pulled in.
Super hospitable bartender. Good food. Reasonable prices. They have a pool table, big buck hunter, some video poker, and bar games. They have seating inside and outside. Amazing taxidermy inside. Deer, bobcat, fish, Elk, caribou, and bear.
So many positives and zero negatives... Start with "clean place." Very clean. Was not expecting a Wisconsin tavern to be this clean! New OWNERS are very young and talented I will come back just to cheer them on. Food was amazing, 10 of us came in for lunch and Lisa the Bartender took our order quickly and the food came out just as fast. My favorite might be the homemade blue cheese dressing! What? Homemade.? Yes, what a treat. Everybody loved the food and the inside is a wonderful display of wildlife, tastefully arranged ... Solid 5 Stars.

We tried a blue cheese burger and a grilled chicken sammie. The food was great. This was our first time here and received friendly service. Great bar in Northern Wisconsin. We will certainly be back to visit.

One of my favorite dive bars!! They have great food to go with it. Cash only but there's an ATM. They always have a good packer party when it's football season!!
I drove up to Cable, Wisconsin & got a chance check out Pioneer Bar. I'm glad I did. The staff is as welcoming as any I've encountered anywhere, and the food was AWESOME! I had steak & eggs; turned out it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. Take some time to visit & experience Pioneer Bar, among the best the Badger State has to offer.
